Nota Musica Sequencer - Version 2.0
Real-Time MIDI Sequencer for OS/2
Do you like music?
Do you play an instrument, and even want to compose your own melodies?
Nota Musica Sequencer will be a great help to realize your dreams.
Nota Musica Sequencer is a program based on OS/2. This means you can
exploit all the advantages of OS/2.
With Nota Musica Sequencer you can record MIDI-Files. You can
play on a keyboard and Nota Musica Sequencer writes down what you played.
Of cource, Nota Musica Sequencer also allows you to play your MIDI
tunes - either on your keyboard or on your wavetable-soundcard.
General Information
Nota Musica Sequencer is a MIDI-Sequencer. It uses OS/2 Warp's Real-Time MIDI
interface to record and play MIDI files. Nota Musica Sequencer
supports playback of MIDI-files using a wavetable-soundcard or a
MIDI-keyboard and recording from any MIDI-device. You can use
multiple MIDI devices on a single computer. Please refer to
Real-Time MIDI Information pages for information on soundcards
supported by OS/2 Warp's Real-Time MIDI interface.
Nota Musica Sequencer loads and saves MIDI-tunes of type 0, 1, and 2 and
thereby allows you to play any MIDI-file with OS/2.
Nota Musica Sequencer supports the IBM VoiceType speech recognition
software, which is shipped with OS/2 Warp 4. This enables you to control
the sequencer without touching your mouse or keyboard. For example, you
may record or playback MIDI tunes by giving voice commands while sitting
at your MIDI-instrument.
You can also use a regular musical instrument (for example a flute or violin)
to record MIDI files. Nota Musica Sequencer converts tunes you play on your
instrument into MIDI files.
Once you have recorded your tunes, you can import them into the music
notation program Nota Musica for editing and printing.

System Requirements
To use Nota Musica Sequencer you need an IBM compatible PC that runs
OS/2 Warp 4 (or a later version of OS/2). You
need 3MB of free hard drive space and one or more MPU 401 compatible soundcards
with a MIDI keyboard or wavetable-soundcard. To use the speech
recognition feature, you need to install IBM VoiceType, which is shipped
with OS/2.
